What you get

  • No more typing bills

The vendor, bill number, dates and every line come from the invoice itself.

  • Filed under the right account

Each Invoist category, such as travel or software, goes to the QuickBooks account you pick for it.

  • Warnings before you send

Invoist points out new bank details, amounts far from the usual, and likely duplicates before you send anything.

Good to know

You choose what gets sent
Nothing goes to QuickBooks on its own. Each invoice is sent when you choose Send to accounting on it.
Set a default account first
Invoices without a category go to the default account, so Invoist sends nothing to QuickBooks until you have picked one.
New vendors are added for you
Invoist looks for a vendor in QuickBooks with exactly the same name. If there isn't one, it adds a new vendor, so check the name in Invoist before sending.
The original file stays in Invoist
The PDF or photo isn't attached to the bill in QuickBooks yet. Open the invoice in Invoist to see it.
Disconnecting keeps what's already there
If you disconnect, bills already sent stay in QuickBooks. New invoices just stop being sent.
