Build an app
Build an app on Invoist
Register an OAuth app, request scopes, receive signed webhooks, and submit for the public marketplace. Your code stays on your servers — Invoist is the auth, data, and event layer.
What you get
- OAuth 2.0 authorization code + refresh tokens so users Connect from their workspace.
- Scoped bearer tokens (
inv_at_) on the same/v1API as API keys. - Signed webhooks when extractions finish or review items change.
- Marketplace listing after we approve your submission.
OAuthAuthorize, token, refresh, revoke.WebhooksEvents, signatures, retries.ScopesWhat each permission unlocks.API referenceEndpoints your token can call.
Path in five steps
- Sign in to the Invoist app and open Integrations, then Your apps.
- Create an app: name, slug, redirect URIs, requested scopes, optional webhook URL.
- Copy the
client_secretandwebhook_secret(shown once). - Implement the OAuth callback and call
POST https://api.invoi.st/oauth/token. - Submit for marketplace review when you are ready to list publicly.
Private installs first
You can install your own app on workspaces you admin before it is approved for the public directory. Listing status only gates invoi.st/apps.
