AI assistants

Connect your assistant

Pick your assistant below and follow its steps. You add Invoist's address in the assistant, then approve it on an Invoist page. There's no password or key to copy.

Connect Claude

On claude.ai or in the Claude desktop app.

https://api.invoi.st/mcp
  1. 1
In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
  2. 2
Name it Invoist and paste Invoist's address, shown above.
  3. 3
Choose Connect. Claude opens Invoist so you can approve it, then you're back in Claude.
  4. 4
Start a chat and ask something, for example: what do we still have to pay this month?

On the Invoist page, check that it shows Claude, your household (or your business), and what it asks to do, such as marking bills as paid. Approve only if you started this yourself, just now. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings, then AI assistants.

Who can connect

You need an Invoist account. In a household, anyone in it can connect an assistant. In a business workspace, only owners and admins can.

Your first questions

Once connected, try one of these in any assistant:

What do we still have to pay this month?

How much did we pay for electricity this year?

Which invoices need checking?

Find every invoice from Northline and add up the totals.

If your assistant can't sign in

Some apps can only send a fixed key. Create one in Invoist: in a household under Settings, then AI assistants, then Use a key instead; in a business under Integrations, then API. Invoist shows the key once. Keep it private, like a password, and send it as Authorization: Bearer inv_sk_…, as in Any other assistant.

Disconnecting

Open Settings, then AI assistants, in the Invoist app and choose Disconnect next to the assistant. It loses access at once. Removing Invoist in the assistant's own settings tidies things up there, but only disconnecting in Invoist makes sure the access is gone. More in Permissions and safety.
