Set up Invoist with Gemini

    Add Invoist to Gemini CLI's settings file, ~/.gemini/settings.json, as shown below.

    Start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth invoist. Your browser opens Invoist so you can approve it.

    Ask about your invoices in the terminal.

What about the Gemini app?
The Gemini app doesn't let you add outside tools like Invoist yet. When Google opens it up, this page will show the steps.
You approve it in Invoist
The assistant opens an Invoist page where you see what it's asking to do, and you approve it. No password is shared with the assistant.
What it can change
Only one thing, and only if you allow it: marking an invoice Invoist held for a second look, such as one with new bank details, as checked.
Disconnect at any time
In Invoist, open Settings, then AI assistants, to see every connected assistant and disconnect any of them.
